I was excited for this case to use with my new iPad, as I use a similar one for my Kindle and love it. However, I don’t love it with the iPad. The cover is nice, it fits very well, stands up for viewing just like the pictures show. But somehow it’s just not the right case for me. The light sensor on iPad is covered by he case, and sometimes I physically pull iPad out a small ways so that the Sensor is out and my screen noticeably brightens. Also the back button arrow at the top left of the iPad screen is so close to the edge of the case that it feels awkward. These are minor things I know, the case is good protection and I will probably use it for travel, but for everyday I am getting something with a grippier feel and smaller footprint.
I loved the color of this cover… the blue is rich and elegant. The leather was nice quality and the case does seem to hold the iPad securely.
I had one complaint while using the cover though. The snap flap that closes the cover is on the back cover and flops over the Menu button and the bottom bit of the screen when in use. A minor complaint, but it was enough in the way for my use of the Menu button and extremely annoying when trying to read on my iPad with that flap resting on the screen covering some of the words. I assume with time, the leather would have softened up enough to bend the flap backwards and tuck underneath.
The price for a leather iPad case was extremely reasonable and the quality is top-notch. The 5-star rating is well-deserved.
I started looking for a case shortly after getting the iPad. However, I didn’t just want a sleeve or jacket. I wanted something to hold it upright if possible, and have it easily removed from the case. This turned out to be the perfect fit for the price. This was by far the cheapest option for what I was looking for. It fits the iPad well, the cover looks decent enough (not just cheap), and it stands the iPad upright. My only 2 criticisms are that it doesn’t prop it up horizontally very well (not that it claimed to) and that when you are charging you can’t close the cover. Besides that, I am very happy with it.
I received this case in a few days and before I got my iPad 3G. I was impressed. I love the medium dark blue color. The case looks like real leather and looks expensive. It did have a strong smell, but it seems to be dissipating. It is a great protection for my iPad and holds it in safely. The one small problem is the closing tab is slightly in the way but you can rotate the case if it bothers you. I would highly recommend this case because the price allows you to afford this case for business use and get another more colorful case for other times.
