I wanted something that was non skid. The iPad bare is very slippery and I was afraid of it being dropped. Plus I didn’t want the back to get scratched up. So, for me this cover is perfect. If you take your iPad with you everywhere you go, I would suggest a case or bag that would cover the entire iPad, with losts of padding for the screen.

I should have listened to @stephen2000. The fit is terrible. The sides next to the screen are not flush and flap around. He’s also very correct about the light sensor being covered up. In addition, I can’t operate the screen rotation lock with the cover on. The iPad is too beautiful to have an ugly, ill-fitting case. I’ll be returning this.
Not a good buy! This skin case is just slightly smaller than the iPad itself. When the iPad is in the case the lip of the case that covers the black bezel of the iPad lifts up and flops about. You can pull the case over to one side, causing that side to become flush while the other side lifts up even further.
The case is also missing a hole along the top for the light sensor. With that blocked the automatic back-light control will leave the screen at the dimmest setting.
On the plus side the material and design are both very nice.
