I purchased this item to replace the stock charger that came with my Mac Air. The device works wonderfully. It is compatible with Apple’s extension cord that slides into the original device, although the color and size are a bit off on the replacement. Really though, if you’re that concerned with what people think about your laptop charger, then I think you have bigger issues that need addressing. My ONLY nitpick with this charger is the metal used on the contact head is different than Apple’s, and the laptop’s magnet has a slightly harder time keeping it connected. However, the build quality is superb, and the device works like a charm. I would recommend this item to anyone that needs a replacement charger, and is running short on arms and legs from purchasing Apple products.
Works fine as long as you don’t move. Magnet is not as strong as Apple-branded adaptor, so it tends to fall out when computer is moved.
