If you are looking for an IPod speaker set up, this is the one for you. The sound is absolutely awesome, crystal clear; it really ROCKS with plenty of BASS. The T24 is also very sturdy (heavy for its size). Its design and exterior appearance are extremely appealing. The remote control is particularly functional. You are in for a real treat if you purchase this item.
I truly thought it couldn’t be very good because it was so reasonably priced, but I thought it would be okay for my classroom. Turns out it is amazing! Great bass and the sound carries through my large classroom and all the way down the hall. Teachers 3 doors down can hear the sound clearly! My Dad has the Bose and I would rank it just a step below it. Absolute bargain! Thanks amazon!
My goal for purchasing a portable speaker system was so I could use it in several locations in my house – like my bedroom, the kitchen, my home office, sometimes the laundry room – while I worked in each room AND I wanted a system that was under $100 (I bought this system on sale at Amazon).
This system is AMAZING! It seriously sounds like a Bose system with its rich bass and clear crisp sound. (my family only bought Bose systems in the house I grew up in, but Bose is a little out of my price range) I received a brand new Nano (2nd generation) Ipod for Christmas and this system had several docking inserts, so my Nano fit, no problem. The remote works from even a long distance from the system. It is easy to transport from room to room. The music I play from my Ipod sounds so good. My husband thinks there is a little too much bass feedback and you are not able to adjust bass, treble on this system, but once I turned down the volume on my Ipod unit, the sound problem pretty much went away.
I really got a sense for how great the sound is when I played it next to my son’s Ipod speaker system – he has a portable boombox from IHome and that system definately sounds tinny, small, and weak when you play it next to this Sonic Impact system. I have to laugh, too, because the boom box was about $40 less than this system and yet the sound quality is easily worth $200 more!
I am completely and totally happy with this purchase.
I initially purchased these speakers for my art studio. They have never made it there — I am using them at home because I can used them to view video downloads on my television (with the addition of an RCA cable). These speakers also include a small cable that you can use to connect your iPod to an auxilliary device in your car. I’m not an audiophile, but I am pleased with the sound and the appearance of these speakers. I would like it if my video iPod felt a little more secure in the dock, but that is my only criticism. I think the price is right on these speakers, and have recommended them to my friends.
Edited to add that over time, my iPod sits even less securely in the dock. The adaptors don’t hold it completely vertical, and if it tilts back, the sound cuts in and out. So now I have to try to rig it so that it still plays.
This unit produces rich, room filling sound. The full range from bass to treble is accurate and smooth. It is amazing how much sound this compact unit produces.
