Really, I already looked up these covers online to see reviews and other tid bits on how they keep your mac safe. However, I’ve come to find that most cases that aren’t crazy expensive generally wont keep your computer completely 100% protected from any damage if you drop it clearly, or if you blatantly smash it up side against a wall at full force. So mainly this will keep it clear of all scratches, dents, and other physical harm on the outside of your Mac, keeping it nice and new! Also, this one has the “satin soft touch” that I love so very much! Because with the aluminum Macs it doesn’t really stay on my lap like I want it to. It slides around, being completely obnoxious. But this definitely helps it stay in place and “stick” kind of to my legs or wherever, making it even more safe and less prone to sliding off and damaging itself. It gives it nice color, and I even love that you can still see the Mac Apple sign on the bak when you’re using your Mac!! Lots of fun, and does what I want it to do!
Easy to install, light weight and offers great protection. Just misses 5 stars for only coming in black. Really wanted a color.

Overall satisfied with this purchase. Regarding the durability, obviously it wouldn’t protect your laptop from a six foot drop onto a hard surface (or maybe it would, but it shouldn’t be expected to). It should easily protect against dents and scratches, though – bought this after a friend of mine dented the lid of my new 17″ MacBook Pro by dropping a heavy piece of wood on top of it. Wish I would have had the case *then*…in any event, this should help protect me from similar things in the future. Love the “satin”-y finish, and how you can still see the illuminated Apple logo through the lid a bit.
It totally met my expectations. It reduced static – problem that I had with Macbook, feels smooth to touch too.
